Thoroughly saturate leaves and grass clippings (before they can become water logged and sink) with supernatant, prepared as in above paragraph, in a clean sprayer. Apply ten to fourteen days after using a short-acting herbicide (see manufacturer's instructions about duration of activity of the particular herbicide used.  Determine the dosage needed based upon the amount needed to saturate the dead plants, either floating on the surface, or submerged. It is important to thoroughly saturate the dead plants you wish to degrade.  If in doubt, determine amount to use from your service professional.
